This is an important update regarding the upcoming deprecation of Fleet Management functionalities and the rescoping of ETAS Workspace.
Following our initial communication in July 2024, this decision was made as part of business strategy adjustments. We wanted to ensure that you are informed about the details and have the necessary information to plan accordingly.
What changes can you expect?
→ Fleet Management functionalities will be deprecated on January 14, 2025
A new project frontend without Fleet Management functionalities with focus on the organization of service and team access will be launched on January 14, 2025. The current old user interface will still be available until the final shutdown at 12 PM (CET) on April 1, 2025. Restructuring of the APIs is also planned to simplify future usage. For more information regarding API deprecation plans see this forum post.
→ Our Marketplace will be rescoped to a Service Catalog for ETAS Services
ETAS has decided to shift away from a Marketplace approach and will offer a Service Catalog as entry point only for ETAS Services in the future.
→ Workspace and File Storage functionalities remains unchanged
Team and file management as well as service usage will still be possible through the new project frontend. If your service uses our APIs, make sure these are not affected by the restructuring.
→ Limited support offer
Starting from January 1, 2025, dedicated support for Fleet Management topics will no longer be available. Depending on contractual obligations, further support may be provided for certain customers. Else, only questions related to data migration and export will be addressed.
To ensure a smooth transition and prevent data loss from previous years, we already provide a solution to export your current vehicle and equipment data in each resource overview table. Additionally, a JSON-based export of your entire project, including all historical data, will be available by the deprecation date on January 14, 2025 at the latest.
