Limited Cloud Hub Creator access and fewer approval steps
The rescoping of Cloud Hub Creator to focus exclusively on ETAS services enables us to optimize our processes and reduce manual approval steps.
What’s changing
Creator access: Access will be limited to Bosch employees, with external access available upon request.
Role-based approvals: Service-related approval steps will be replaced by user roles. Instead of requesting release approvals for each service, users will receive the rights to perform actions across all their services with a single role request.
How it will work
Role assignment
- Access to the Creator will be managed through the role ‘Creator trial user’, which will be automatically assigned to Bosch employees who register with Cloud Hub
- Access to premium features will be managed through the role ‘Creator premium user’, automatically assigned to ETAS employees upon registration. This allows ETAS employees to use all features right from the start, without needing specific approval from the Cloud Hub Team.
- Access to a public service catalog appearance will be managed through the role ‘Creator service publisher’, and needs to be requested once.
Auto-approval for versions
Versions will no longer need an additional approval and will be auto-approved. However, in certain security-related situations, auto-approval may be revoked, and a manual approval is still needed from our team.
Role management
All roles can be managed through the user settings on Cloud Hub.
This update is meant to improve your experience with Cloud Hub Creator by making approvals easier and release service faster on Cloud Hub.
