What is the difference between "App" and "Service"?

Yeah, that’s sometimes confusing :smile:

In the context of Calponia the people use it for the same. Large applications are often called “service” and smaller one “App”, but both are available in the app area of Calponia.

Generally, there is no clear definition. Mostly, services are behind a app. If you interacting as a user with something it’s an app. The app itself connects to services. For example you have the Calponia app installed on your mobile device, which loads vehicle information from a calponia service.

I think that Patrick called it Service-App once or maybe somebody else did. Something I try to get used to :wink:
